Standing on Your Own Two Feet

Some people are my age or older and they are stuck.  They may live with a friend, family member, mom and dad.  This post is for them.  It is a post to life them up and take them to another level in their thinking.  A level that will land them on their own two feet.

As pointed out before, I am living with my parents for the last two years.  At best my feelings are of a complete and utter failure.  It has been hard mentally and effected me physically.  Well, this post is not to complain about ill fate.  This post is to tell what I am doing toward making changes in my future.

The reality is that you can not find the solution to a problem from the same level of thinking that got you there in the first place.  — I know that one is an enigma, but think about it.

The logical solution would be for me to find my own place and get the heck out.  Yes, but leaving with the same stuck feelings and thoughts that I have right now would be a catastrophe, and land me right back living somewhere else with someone else, if not back here with my parents.

The true solution is to change my way of thinking.  It is to rise above the situation where I am.  See things out of a whole new set of eyes.  Focus in on my passion and purpose.  Destroy all negative imaginations, by simply creating good ones.  Within those good imaginations (visualizations) I will see myself Standing on My Own Two Feet in my own home!

Making the visualization my main focus will prove to backfire.  (I have been there and done that!)  Visualizing should be fun and exciting!  Something I do as a feel good part of my day. My main focus should be on my work, my love, my passion… which is writing.  My mood can be lifted through mere IMMERSION into my work and PASSION for everything I do.

When you are immersed… you are totally aware of all that is around you. There is no past or future; only the present.  That is a beautiful thing.

To make Standing on Your Own Two Feet the lesson that it was meant to be; allow me to tell you what I am doing to change my way of thinking and the actions I have been inspired to take to change my life:

1.  I am changing my way of thinking by immersing myself in 3 books consistently for the year.

The Holy Bible ~by inspiration of GOD

How to Turn Your Ability Into Cash ~by Earl Prevette

The Master Key System ~by Charles Haanel

The Bible is a no-brainer for me, because I’m a Christian.  That is the first book that I need to pick up in the morning.

I just ran across How to Turn Your Ability Into Cash.  It intrigued me, because it is a simple book that includes 4 major areas to help you to change.  Thoughts, Food, Exercise, and Action.

Finally, the Master Key System is going to help us to become more disciplined in our minds and bodies.  If you can’t control yourself; good luck controlling any other part of your life or business.

2.  I have created a plan to do more writing assignments for other websites.

This is the way most writers who do not have regular jobs keep up their income.  They write for websites, magazines, businesses and the like.  It can prove to make a decent living and very flexible.  I love it.

3.  I am also out house hunting.

I believe I have found one.  When I have one for sure, then I will post about it. It is important to take inspired action when it comes.  I had a friend ask me to go house hunting with her lately and that is how I found the one place that I hope that I get.  I have been house hunting for two months and found nothing.  Then I went with her and found two great houses.  I like one of them very much.

So, in conclusion, I am getting my mind right, my pockets right, and moving forward to find a new place to stay.  I am even accepting some help.  This is important.  Do not be too afraid (as I have) to ask for help. I am accepting help from my parents, why not from some government agency.  I will be signing up for rental assistance tomorrow.  Not to live on, but to help me get started.

Until next time… keep being resilient…  Share this one with your friends.  Links are below.
